Terms of Service

Last updated: July 14, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Forge (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and integrators of the API.

2. Description of Service

Forge is a free, database-free SaaS that provides two models: (a) a lossless memory compressor (Memorizer-LM) that converts text into 4 integers and back, and (b) an on-device function-calling orchestrator (Orchestrator-Nano) that emits strictly-typed JSON tool calls. The Service is provided at no cost, without accounts, and without authentication.

3. Free Tier & Rate Limits

The Service is free for all users. To ensure fair use, requests are rate-limited to 100 per minute per IP address. Rate-limit state is held in-memory only and reset on cold start. There is no paid tier, no quota increase process, and no SLA.

4. No Warranty

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the lossless memory model will reconstruct text perfectly in every cold-start window. The Memorizer LRU cache is volatile by design.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Forge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Because the Service is free, you acknowledge that no expectation of damages recovery is reasonable.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Use the Service to violate any applicable local, national, or international law
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the model weights
  • Abuse, overload, or attack the rate-limit infrastructure
  • Send content that is illegal, infringing, or harmful
  • Resell or rebrand the Service without attribution

7. Your Data & Responsibility

You are solely responsible for any data you send to the Service. Forge does not persist your data, but it transits through server-side memory briefly. Do not send regulated data (PHI, PCI, PII) without your own compliance review. Save important responses yourself — Forge makes no backup guarantees.

8. Intellectual Property

The Forge brand, website, source code, and documentation are intellectual property of the Forge project. The trained model weights, when published, are released under the license specified in their respective download manifest. You retain all rights to the text you compress and the tool-calls you orchestrate.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by closing your browser or removing the API integration. Forge may suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these Terms, without notice.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
